Divorced women

Divorce in Chapter 4 is referenced in passing — most directly in 4:19–21 (the rules around dowry-return when a man wishes to replace one wife with another) and 4:35 and 4:128 (procedures for marital dispute). The Quran’s main divorce legislation is in Chapter 2 and Chapter 65 (aṭ-Ṭalāq, “The Divorce”); Chapter 4 mostly treats divorce as one option in the marital authority pipeline rather than as its own legal topic.
